Day 1: Arriving in Kasane After making your way individually to Kasane you will be welcomed at the international airport. We will then bring you to a wonderful lodge in Kasane where you will spend the next few days.
For the excursions on the Chobe River, we have a specially equipped photography boat available. You will benefit from tripod mounts with gimbal heads and 360 degrees swivel chairs. The flat-bottomed boats allow fantastic perspectives for photography.
Day 2 – 3: On the Chobe River We have two full days to explore the Chobe. You will explore the wildlife of the river with the photography boat both in the morning and in the late afternoon. Photographing from the boat offers outstanding angles to take pictures of animals such as buffalos, elephants, antelopes and many more at eye-level or even from a lower angle. Exceptionally stunning pictures can be taken at sunset where the animals can be captured in dust clouds with backlit photography.
Day 4: Flight to the Khwai Region After breakfast we will check out at the lodge and drive to Kasane airport. From there a small bush plane will take us on a one-hour flight to the Khwai Region in the Okavango Delta
Day 5 – 7: In the middle of the action The region belongs to one of the most spectacular regions in Botswana. Since we are in a community area, the vehicles can also be driven off-road, offering you the best perspectives for photography. The area is known for its regular sightings of leopards, African wild dogs and lions. The fauna and flora of the Khwai region is very different from where we spent the first few days.
Your photo guide Hannes Lochner is always available for you with helpful tips and tricks. Between the different game drives, you can relax in the camp. Depending on your wishes and needs, Hannes will offer short tutorials on different areas of photography. Of course, he will also discuss with you the already captured photos to help you shoot even better pictures during the next game drive.
Day 8: Back to civilization Today we will fly back to Maun with the bush plane where the photo tour will end. We gladly give you advice regarding possibilities to extend your stay.
