The Zambia trip in June 2023 was marked by many great animal encounters and beautiful scenery. I especially remember a pair of leopards, about one year old, who were playing with each other and I even managed to take a picture of the female sailing over the male. Wonderful! Equally impressive, however, were the beautiful morning scenes. Antelopes and even lions presented themselves in the ground fog at sunrise! Once again, Thomas and Hannes took excellent care of us, and the local guides also did a good job. This makes us want to do more!

It was my first photo tour to Africa. The diverse - and thanks to the driving skills of the guides also up close - encounters in the private game reserve were impressive: leopards, cheetahs, lions, hyenas, jackals, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, monkeys, bee-eaters, eagles, vultures and much more. Travelling with Amazing Views and their photo guides is perfect. Not only are we at the photo hotspots at the right time, we also get great professional advice and support. And peace and quiet when the rest of the masses of tourists are out and about. The support was unrivalled. We were in very good and experienced hands with both Hannes and Floyd. Hannes was perfect and had a lot of patience with us. He was happy to share his knowledge with us. He is a very enthusiastic photographer himself and this rubbed off well on the group. The length of the trip was perfect, there were many new impressions and experiences that I still have to digest, so longer would almost be too much of a good thing. My expectations of this trip were very high, as I had already travelled to Namibia three times before as a self-driver. In the end, I flew home with many unforgettable impressions and my expectations were exceeded by far! There was a lot of input from Hannes on how to take the perfect photo, so that at the end everyone flew home with successful photos in their luggage. This trip definitely makes you want more! We were able to travel to Namibia with Amazing Views for the second time since 2019. Although many things became more complex due to Covid-19, the organisation was smooth from A to Z. The Namib, the Dead Vlei, all the Oryx antelopes, helicopter flights, the countless evening scenes were simply fabulous - and as a bonus, we were virtually alone in many places. It could not have been better. And the Okonjima Game Reserve at the end was the absolute icing on the cake for us.

I joined for this trip directly after the cats of the Kalahari: the contrasts of both trips (Kalahari: desert steppes in beige versus Mashatu: rich green partly with yellow flower carpet) are fantastic! Very good mentoring by Hannes and Thomas, who can give even experienced photographers a tip or two. Very comfortable lodge with excellent staff, especially the local guides are to be emphasized.

I have been to Botswana with Amazing Views before, I was also lucky enough to go on the first trip to Churchill to see the Polar Bear babies. All trips were unforgettable. Now again, to travel to Botswana during the rainy season was awesome for me. To photograph the animals between the lush green and yellow flowers, and to see them rolling around in it was fantastic. Plants, which I had thought to be dead in October, came back to life. Unique and an unforgettable experience. The trip was as usual, very well organized and everything went like clockwork. The Victoria Falls are impressive and the richness of species in Hwange and Mana Pools is great. On the Pantanal trip in July 2023, the biodiversity impressed me the most. The jaguars were great, lying in wait for caimans along the rivers and swimming across the river in front of us. Beautiful animals! But also impressive were the giant otters, which even put a jaguar to flight. We also encountered a swimming tapir. The many bird species - kingfishers, herons, giant storks, hawks, cormorants, etc. - always offered great motifs. - offered great motifs again and again. We were competently accompanied by Thomas and Marcos, who shared a lot of his knowledge about the animals with us. Everything was well organised. A rewarding trip!

We had to wait a long time before we could finally travel to Patagonia. But it was worth it in every respect. What an incredible 10 days we experienced in this unique landscape! Perfectly guided by Thomas Brühlmann, Cristina Harboe and the other local guides, we were able to let off steam photographically. But the highlight was definitely the 3 days of puma tracking. Here we were able to benefit from Rodrigo Moraga's many years of knowledge and photograph the animals at almost arm's length. I would love to go there again right away!

Starting with a variety of animals that we could observe, great landscapes and unique excursions...you went from one highlight to the next and when you thought: "More is not possible", the next highlight of the trip already came. Playing brown bear teenagers, who came a little bit closer, bald eagles in flight and very photogenic in the treetop, otters, seals, dolphins, whales, moose, foxes, caribous, black bears, beavers, puffins and much more we were allowed to admire and photograph in the animal kingdom. Among the landscapes, there were unique (early) morning moods, glaciers and lakes, foggy valleys and as a special gift, Mount Denali with all its splendour. Alaska had been in the back of my mind for many years because of its vast photographic possibilities. Finally it worked out and we experienced such a unforgettable journey of superlatives. During our various trips to USA and also Canada we were constantly accompanied by warning signs for moss crossing, but never got to see one. Jeff and Thomas, especially Pia, were finally able to fulfil our wish and we experienced a wonderful morning in a moose area near Anchorage and were able to take pictures of the animals at close range. An unforgettable experience that we will never forget. To go into all the other highlights would go beyond the scope here. We are grateful that we were able to experience all this at our age.

WOW! It was sensory overload and I'm still processing everything that I saw and experienced. I just finished doing a first look at my photos (over 12,000) and am re-living the exceptional tour. Accommodations, food, leadership and the weather (most of the time) were the best possible. So many bears and so close. Seeing all of Denali for several days was a minor miracle. Flying up to it is beyond words. How can I describe the thrill of the helicopter ride to the glaciers, the boat trip on Prince William Sound with all the wildlife we saw and its gorgeous scenery, Lake Clark with its many bears and their crazy behavior, Denali Camp with its pristine beauty, gourmet food, much wildlife and the crazy road getting there? And the group I was with became instant friends of mine who I already miss. It was a trip I'll remember the rest of my life. Thank you, Amazing Views!

Alaska - Into the wild was an unforgettable journey for me, even though I don't photograph at all. Highlights after highlights, breath-taking landscapes alternated with incredible animal encounters. We saw bears, moose, sea otters, porpoises, humpback whales....., some of them from close range. In addition, the organisation both before and on site was excellent, the accommodations were great and with Jeff Schultz we had a photographer at our side who was not only familiar with the area and always friendly and helpful, but also made many experiences possible for us through his knowledge and experience. Although I was a bit sceptical in advance if this trip is really recommendable for non-photographers, I did not regret my participation in the trip for a minute and I firmly believe that this was not my last trip with Amazing Views.

The polar bear photo safari with Daisy was a once in a lifetime wonder. Seeing a polar bear and her cubs emerge from their den and later begin their long journey to the Bay was more emotional than I expected. This was the best wildlife experience I have ever had.

Despite initial doubts about weather conditions (cold / wind) and hand baggage regulations of the US companies, the whole trip proved to be an excellent opportunity to follow & observe a polar bear mother. Thanks to the peace and quiet and support from Daisy who made that possible. The outermost cold protection suits including shoes were great. An impressive experience that will stay vivid for a long time.

The tours are always super organized by Jennifer and Thomas! I especially liked this tour, because you experience the nature of South Africa and Botswana in its unspoiled form. The animals are not on display, you have to look for them / discover them. But you get to see all the animals, up close and personal. Also, the season with occasional thunderstorms and wildflower carpets has its special charm. Absolutely recommended!

Myanmar is definitely worth a trip for a photographer. For the duration of the tour the number of stops is appropriate and there is enough time for taking pictures. The people are great - if you give them a smile, you will get a smile back. I hope that it will stay like that. The group size with a maximum of 8 people is also perfect for taking pictures with the local photo professionals. An absolute highlight is the balloon flight over Bagan, simply unforgettable.

The trip to Tenerife is worthwhile for lovers of coastal and mountain landscapes, sunsets and sunrises and, of course, star photography. The selected hotels are very centrally located, the journey to the photo spots takes usually about an hour because of the very hilly landscape. The photo guides Ralf and Fabio, who were helpful in every respect, reacted with great flexibility to the very changeable conditions, so that we came back not only with pictures of the coasts, mountains and sunrises and sunsets, but also with top pictures of the Milky Way. During four often long days, we slowly left our comfort zone, hesitant and shy at first, and ventured further and further. Thanks to the skilful methodology and didactics of Jens, who confronted us daily with ever new, ever more challenging tasks, we gained confidence and self-assurance. By the end, we had grasped the essence of street photography and were already able to take some beautiful shots. Jens was an excellent and patient teacher who had brought us considerably further in terms of image composition and creativity. I really got an appetite for street photography after the course!

In April 2022, I was on the photo expedition around Svalbard with my husband on the M/S Virgo. An absolutely extraordinary journey with great impressions of a fantastic Arctic and touching wildlife encounters that we will not forget for a long time. We think especially of the Zodiac trip lasting several hours, on which we were able to experience very relaxed and also curious polar bear, the great light moods in the evening and night hours, but also the trips with walrus encounters during snowfall in the backlight, which bathed the flakes in an organ-coloured light and conjured up a very special mood in the picture. We even had the opportunity to drive to the pack ice edge and do an excursion on the pack ice, which is probably not an everyday experience. A big thank you goes to Jenny and Daisy for the excellent supervision. They always had an open ear for the participants, questions were always gladly answered and fun was never neglected. The M/S Virgo is an absolutely brilliant "starting point" for photo expeditions, as everything is very well adapted to the needs of photographers. Another plus point were the guides / Zodiac drivers, who are also professional photographers and always knew how to approach destinations in such a way that everyone has the opportunity to take home their photos of the spots / wildlife. This was completed by lectures during the trip and by the spontaneity of the crew. If necessary, the route was even changed several times a day, just as it was best for the participants. As I participated the trip as a photographer and my husband accompanied the trip as a non-photographer, we were initially sceptical about what it would be like for a partner travelling with a group of photographers. We were very pleasantly surprised, he was very well integrated by Jenny, Daisy, the guides and the fellow travellers and certainly had as much fun as I did. We think back to the trip very often and always say to ourselves "What all we were able to experience there".... Thank you again!

I have been dreaming of the Milky Way on the Teide and perfect pictures of it for several years. Now my dream was more than fulfilled thanks to the great trip with Amazing View, which offered much more than "just" the Teide. It was simply a perfectly organised trip with Jenny and Fabio looking after all the participants, which was top class. I have never seen guides unpack their cameras first then when all participants have found a very good position for their picture. Even if it took a while, they supported, helped and waited patiently until all participants* were placed. In difficult terrain Jenny and Fabio were always there to help the weaker ones overcome their fears or find a firm footing. Simply great this continuous support! Photographically, the trip was a poem of superlatives. The photographic themes were wide-ranging and so there was enough time for everyone to photograph the different themes in the best possible way. Then there was Fabio Antenore. He was not only the workshop leader but also an extremely likeable companion and comrade with a great sense of humour. He imparted his knowledge about timeblending with great joy and thus introduced us - not only the enthusiasts among us - to the subject with great skills. Like all tours with Amazing Views, this tour was perfectly organised. We were super well looked after by Jenny and Daisy, who had endless time and patience for us, not only when taking pictures, but also when editing them. The ship (the MS Virgo) is ideal for photographers. The newly renovated rooms are very nice and functional with plenty of space for all the winter clothes. But the hammer is the lounge, which is ideally suited to our needs. Enough space for everyone with their laptops, power sockets everywhere, a big TV for picture meetings and presentations, and always enough pastries to keep our lines in shape. The Zodiac drivers were also responsible for scanning the horizon literally around the clock for interesting wildlife. The fact that these two are also full-time professional photographers was of course great, as it meant we were looked after even better and they also knew exactly how to position the Zodiac so that everyone got their picture. All in all, this trip easily exceeded our expectations.

The photo tour "Wild Scotland" has the right name. We experienced a week with weather typical for this region. Overcast skies, sunshine in between, dense fog in the mountains and short heavy rain showers with strong winds. It was a good opportunity to test out the waterproof and windproof clothing. The tour was well organised and everything worked well. Ralf led the tour prudently with a lot of humour, constantly coordinating with Nick, the local photographer, in choosing the next photo stop. They reacted flexibly to the changing weather. Both supported the participants very well in photo-technical questions and Nick, thanks to his very good local knowledge, was able to draw our attention to small details in the composition of the picture. The photo tour is recommended for photographers who want to experience the wild nature of Scotland and especially the beautiful Isle of Skye.

The photo tour on Lewis and Harris was simply great. The lodge on a secluded inlet was unique. Three ladies spoiled us with local specialities from the sea and from their own garden. We had great experiences with a total of 8 bears over three days - a good yield, considering that the bears do not appear at the push of a button! Thomas was a confident guide and the atmosphere among us participants was good and relaxed. Slovenianbears did a good job of organising the bear afternoons in the Hides. We had to bring the patience ourselves.... I liked the accommodation at Ana's, the food was good and plentiful. I found the excursions in the morning (underground lake, caves etc.) interesting, they gave us a good insight into the region (only the eagle owls didn't want to show up despite digital calls). All good things come in threes – after experiencing Scotland, Croatia/Slovenia, this is absolutely true for the Ireland tour to Kerry, Dingle & Wicklow! Each of these areas offers something for everyone and even if two of them are very similar, they all have their own charm. If you have a guide with you who not only knows his trade, knows the country like the back of his hand, coupled with a great group of different people who nevertheless fit together very well, then the recipe for a great week in an incredibly beautiful landscape is perfect! By the way, the saying would have to be extended in this case: all good things come in threes - and even more! It was my first trip to Scotland, but definitely not the last! As a part-time press & event photographer, my concern with photo tours is not so much to be supported by the photographers, but to be in the right place at the right time. The group also significantly increases the motivation for getting up early. The local photographers Nick (Wild Scotland) and Marcus (Outer Hebrides) knows their region, they know exactly which photo spots work best in which weather and they also share their knowledge. The support by Jenny and one of the two local photo guides was sensational, communicative and always trying to bring out the best for the participants. My expectations were exceeded by far, even as an event photographer I was able to learn a lot in landscape photography thanks to the support. The trip to the Outer Hebrides has far exceeded my expectations. Not only is this one of the most charming landscapes I have ever visited, but the journey is rounded off by a time-honoured manor house where we resided and where we were treated with the most delicious food. I would like to emphasize the sensational care by Jenny and Marcus, the two photo guides who accompanied us. Both of them were always there for us participants, answered our questions or actively supported us in taking pictures so that we could take beautiful photos home with us. They themselves were photographically totally reserved. This is something I have not experienced with other photo tours. Even between the trips they both took care of us, e.g. discussing theoretical questions or helping with editing in Lightroom. The photo tour was perfectly organized right from the beginning, already the detailed information before the start of the tour indicated for an excellent organization. The daily planning, adapted to weather conditions and the interests of us photographers left nothing to be desired and the beauty of the landscapes contributed the rest. We always had the feeling that Jennifer and Nick wanted to bring out the best for the participants and we were always reminded to ask questions, get information and express wishes. Not only did I enjoy the breath-taking landscapes, but also the trip and its organisation was just perfect for me and met or exceeded all expectations. Once again, a trip excellently organized by Jenny! With not always easy weather, Jenny and Cody always put together a great program for the day and spontaneously adapted it to the outside conditions. Whenever possible we took pictures at known or less known places on Lofoten. Unfortunately, rain, snow and wind made this impossible on some days. We used the time for joint photo reviews of our pictures, discussed and debated the composition and development and learned a lot in the process.

This is my first time in Scotland, and I am simply thrilled. The tour was top organized by Jenny and very professionally guided by Nick Hanson. We did not lack for anything. Very suitably selected hotels with very good Scottish cuisine including local specialities such as haggis. Partly off the beaten track we went to the most beautiful photo motives of Isle of Sky and the Highlands. Often, we took pictures at places we would never have found without the local guide. It is not easy to find spots on Skye that are always adapted to the weather, but Jenny and Nick mastered that. Thanks again and good light wherever you take pictures.

Once something goes perfectly during a journey, that may be luck. But if the level is the same on a second trip, then it's simply high quality! Also, on the trip to Croatia and Slovenia, everything was top, from the choice of locations to the accommodation and last but not least the local guide. Dan Briški and Jenny guided us to wonderful locations, whereby of course the Plitvice Lakes are an absolute must for every Karl May fan. But also, the variety of the Slovenian northeast with its wild mountain landscape could offer one or the other "boaaah!" effect. All in all, again a successful trip, from which I could take many nice memories with me.

Seldom has a landscape impressed me as much as the one on Skye. The peace and simplicity of the landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. The Toscana trip was just great! Jenny knows the area very well and so we were able to shoot at the best spots at the best time of day. Zermatt offers the perfect backdrop to showcase the majestic Matterhorn, be it at night framed by a fantastic starry sky or as a reflection in one of the mountain lakes. After having my camera almost unused for few months in the cupboard, I was lucky enough to attend the Zermatt workshop with Amazing Views. Jennifer and Mel's friendly and helpful nature, the spectacular surroundings and the great motifs around the Matterhorn made this workshop a super experience for me, from which I took a lot with me and learned a lot. Also that is possible to get great landscape pictures even when conditions are not ideal and the Matterhorn once again prefers to hide in the clouds 😉 I really liked the fact that the workshop was very comprehensive about camera settings and the use of filters, landscape photography, night photography, RAW development and image processing. Mel and Jenny were always there with an open ear and advice and support. These were intensive and incredibly instructive days in beautiful surroundings, from which I took a lot with me and hope that we will see each other again soon at a workshop.
