Demian Knobel lives in central Switzerland and works full-time as an anaesthesiologist. He likes to spend his free days in nature, with or without a camera. From time to time, he travels to selected locations for several weeks in order to get better acquainted with the wildlife and the local conditions. This allows him to get the most out of the moments as well as to capture the perfect light. For example, he has spent a month in Dovrefjell National Park in Norway, over four months in Canada and Alaska and almost a year in South America.
Demian’s photos regularly win national and international awards and are also repeatedly printed in magazines. He loves to pass on the knowledge he has gathered over the years.
The fascination for nature can be perfectly combined with photography. And the more the beauty of the environment can be shown to other people, the better it will be protected.
