Stephan Mantler

Stephan is a renowned photographer. The experienced photo guide has been working with Amazing Views since 2017.

Stephan was born in Austria and has lived permanently in Iceland since 2013. Before he moved to Iceland, he trained as a master photographer and worked for many years primarily as a mountain sports and landscape photographer, taking his passion with him to his new home. As an AIMG certified glacier and mountain guide he leads private tours on Iceland with an extraordinary combination of unique locations and photographic expertise.

His photographic style is influenced by his time in mountaineering and often focuses on the place of man in nature, but also experimental-abstract shots can be found in his collection. Stephan’s pictures have been published in international magazines and sporting goods and other catalogs and also decorate various hotels in Iceland; for example, the Fosshotel Vatnajökull has been fully equipped with pictures from his collection.
