Photo Workshop Botswana
Accompany us to the peak of the dry season in a spectacular game reserve in the south of Botswana. The area has a wide variety of wildlife. You have great opportunities to observe and photograph lions, cheetahs and leopards.
We will also photograph from hides. You have an opportunity to take unique pictures of elephants, antelopes and more. With a bit of luck you can photograph the elephants with wide-angle lenses from a frog’s perspective.
During the photo safari you will be supported & guided by the renowned wildlife photographer Hannes Lochner and another photographer from the Amazing Views team. Don’t miss out this exciting and intensive week.

Day 1 – Arrival to South Africa
After your individual travel to Polokwane we meet in the afternoon in the hotel. Hannes Lochner will give an introduction to various aspects of wildlife photography.

Day 2: On to Botswana
You will be driven in a comfortable minibus to the border of Botswana (journey time approx. 2.5 hours). After crossing the border, the ranger of the lodge is already waiting for us. In a short drive we reach the lodge where you obtain your room. In the late afternoon we set out for the first game drive. With a little luck, we will already find the first animals and start taking pictures.

Day 3 – 5 – In the middle of the action
The private reserve in the south of Botswana is very varied in landscape and has a great richness of animals. Since we are in a private area, the vehicles are allowed to drive off-road to offer you the best perspectives for taking pictures. The area is known for regular sightings of leopards, cheetahs and lions. We will photograph 2 - 3 times from underground hides. With a little luck you will be able to take spectacular pictures from unique angles.
Your photo guide Hannes Lochner is always available to you for useful tips and tricks. Between game drives, you can relax in the camp. Depending on your wishes and needs, Hannes offers short tutorials on different areas of photography. Of course, he also discusses with you about already captured photos and helps you to shoot even better pictures during the next game drive.

Day 6 - 7 – Back to civilization
After the morning game drive you will drive back to Polokwane. From here, after another overnight stay, you will start your journey home or your individual onward journey.
Accommodation
Beautiful lodge in southern Botswana
The lodge is located in a private game reserve in southern Botswana. The area has a beautiful landscape and will delight you with its wide plains, grasslands, forests, rocky hills and wetlands. The game reserve around the lodge is home to a variety of wildlife including herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, ostriches, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs.
The lodge has 14 spacious, tastefully decorated rooms, all with air conditioning and bathroom (with shower and bath). In the general area there is a bar, dining area, pool and comfortable lounge.
