What our clients say

The trip was well organised and in my opinion we were always in the right place at the right time. The photo spots were great! Different options were sometimes offered so that everyone could choose the right one. I personally really appreciated that. Our photo guides Ralf and Bernard did a great job! They were always helpful and friendly and drove us safely to our destination, even on the long days. I learnt a lot again! The accommodation was also very comfortable, nothing to complain about. I loved Ireland and would definitely recommend the trip to others. I will certainly be travelling with Amazing Views again next time!

Ireland Wild North, May 2024

It was a great photo tour in a country that is a bit overlooked, but offers great landscapes possibilities. Guides are very knowledgeable and locations we have been to are great. As usual, everything is perfectly organised so that we just need to focus on taking photos. Highly recommended.

Ireland Wild North, May 2024

I had to wait 2 years for this workshop. But it was worth it. Ireland and its landscapes are simply beautiful. The whole thing was rounded off by a friendly group and great guides who kept us on our toes. Despite lack of sleep, we arrived home happy, satisfied and with many great impressions and pictures. A big thank you to Jenny and Bernard for an all-round successful trip!

Ireland Kerry & Wicklow, May 2022

Personal, professionally guided photo tour where I felt very well looked after. The tour guide was always available with tips and tricks for questions or assistance. Fun and cosiness were not neglected. Top choice of spots and accommodation. The guide went to incredible lengths to ensure that we found the best conditions.

Connemara Ireland, August 2021

Beautiful spots, always responding immediately to the changes. Good mix of photography, having fun, eating and drinking. Necessary support is given, questions are answered. As always a great experience and Ireland is always worth a trip.

Connemara Ireland, August 2021

Ireland - Kerry, Dingle & Wicklow I can highly recommend for landscape photographers. The support by Jenny and Bernard was great. Bernard, the photographer from Ireland, led us to many enchanted places that you would never find as a tourist. The visit in a rustic pub was very funny. Our group harmonized very well. Unfortunately the week was over way too quickly. We will gladly be back with Amazing Views again another time.

Ireland Kerry & Wicklow, September 2019

Beautiful destination, extremely aesthetic landscape. Due to the rapidly changing conditions, there are atmospheric shots in the morning and evening. Good small group size with different characters, was happy to get to know all of them. Top organized and personally attended by the owner. I felt that I was in the best hands. Enchantingly charming.

Ireland Kerry & Wicklow, September 2019

All good things come in threes – after experiencing Scotland, Croatia/Slovenia, this is absolutely true for the Ireland tour to Kerry, Dingle & Wicklow! Each of these areas offers something for everyone and even if two of them are very similar, they all have their own charm. If you have a guide with you who not only knows his trade, knows the country like the back of his hand, coupled with a great group of different people who nevertheless fit together very well, then the recipe for a great week in an incredibly beautiful landscape is perfect! By the way, the saying would have to be extended in this case: all good things come in threes - and even more! Ireland, Jenny & Bernard, we'll see you again, a Guiness (I'll stick to the pale ;)) on it!

Ireland Kerry & Wicklow, September 2019

An unforgettable week! The trip was excellently organized and the selection of the photo locations was very successful. As a beginner I was always supported by Jenny or Bernard in a competent, helpful and patient way and I also got many helpful tips. Many thanks for this great week in beautiful Ireland.

Ireland North - Wild Atlantic Way & Causeway Costal Route, April 2019

Perfect organisation, motivated and motivating photo tour guides with profound knowledge of the place, comfortable vehicles with sufficient storage space, nice and like-minded fellow travellers - this is exactly how an optimal photo tour is designed.

Ireland North - Wild Atlantic Way & Causeway Costal Route, April 2019

Ireland, the "green island", fascinated me with its breath-taking landscapes. I could not get enough of the many facets of the green colour, the steep cliffs, the picturesque lighthouses and the countless sheep pastures. In short: My memory card was glowing... The perfect organisation and supervision by Jenny and Bernard made this trip an unforgettable, instructive and entertaining experience. A big thank you for the great trip.

Ireland North - Wild Atlantic Way & Causeway Costal Route, April 2019

The variety of landscapes and the pure nature in the north of the island was very impressive and offered countless photo motives. I was not only fascinated by the beautiful landscapes, but also by the energy, passion and great commitment of the two photographers/guides Jennifer and Bernard. Thanks to their professional planning and organisation we were able to photograph/explore the beautiful locations of the region under the best possible weather and light conditions. We experienced so much during this week, time flew by. Even as an ambitious photographer I was able to learn a lot and always felt as in good hands. It was simply fun. Thanks a lot!

Day 1 – Arrival to Ireland and drive to Dingle peninsula

Individual travel to Dublin. We meet at the Dublin Airport during the morning. Afterwards we will head southwest to the Dingle peninsula, where you will spend the first two nights.
National Geographic Traveller has chosen Dingle as "the most beautiful place on earth". During the next days you will explore the photographic highlights of this wild and romantic peninsula. Dingle inspires with its lush pastures, gentle mountains and a wild Atlantic coast. There are countless fascinating photo motifs. Here you can also follow in the footsteps of "Star Wars". Many scenes were shot in South West Ireland.
Due to the small size of the group, we can optimally respond to your individual needs and discuss photographic topics of your choice and immediately put them into practice (e.g. long-term exposures, use of filters, photography at night, etc.). If required, we will also have time for image discussions or tutorials on image editing.

Day 2 and 3 – Exploring Dingle peninsula

Dingle inspires with its lush pastures, gentle mountains and a wild Atlantic coast. There are countless fascinating photo motifs. Here you can also follow in the footsteps of "Star Wars". Many scenes were shot in South West Ireland.
We will be on the move again during sunrise and sunset. If the weather doesn't play along, this won't prevent us from taking pictures. Especially when the sky is overcast, sea surges, waterfalls and other scenes can be photographed excellently. The result is atmospheric, mystical pictures.

Day 8 - End of the tour

Today is the end of the Photo Tour Ireland. We will get back to Dublin airport on time to catch our flights back home or to our further destination.

During the photo tour Ireland, we will stay in good hotels, which offer all amenities. Since the weather in Ireland can sometimes be a little unsettled, we have consciously chosen hotels that also ensure a pleasant stay for rainy days.

Dingle, County Kerry

The idyllic little harbour town of Dingle is located on the peninsula of the same name in the southwest of Ireland. Our beautiful boutique hotel is located in the heart of the town. All rooms offer modern comforts and are equipped with antique furniture, free Wi-Fi, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. A bar and restaurant round off the hotel's facilities.

Killarney, County Kerry

Our elegant hotel in Killarney offers an ideal base for exploring the nearby Killarney National Park. You will stay in spacious, individually designed rooms with a marble bathroom, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities, a flat-screen satellite TV and a CD player. The hotel has a pool, a steam bath, a sauna and a wellness spa for soothing beauty treatments and massages. From the restaurant you can enjoy a beautiful view of the countryside.

Wicklow Mountains

Our accommodation is located in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. It is the perfect base for exploring the rugged beauty of Wicklow, also known as the ‘Garden County of Ireland’. The rooms are comfortably furnished and have en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, safe and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant is renowned for its regional dishes using fresh ingredients.

The Irish weather is always good for a surprise. Sun, clouds and rain alternate constantly. Perfect for photography! In autumn, temperatures range between 7 and 15 °C. This season is particularly impressive due to the beautiful autumn colours, but it rains a little more than in summer.

On this trip you will be travelling with like-minded people who love nature and photography and want to improve their own photography skills.

Dark Sky

The Kerry region is known for its low light pollution. The perfect starting point for photographing the impressive starry sky with the Milky Way in the right weather conditions. With particularly good luck and corresponding aurora activity, the Northern Lights can also be observed in Kerry. Depending on the weather forecast and your wishes, we will also be able to include a night photography session during the photo tour.

The trip does not require any special physical requirements. We will make short hikes to the photo locations. You should be fit enough to take part in these hikes. Some photo locations may be exposed. If you are afraid of heights, there is always the possibility to photograph from a little further back.

Course of action of the photo tour

We will put together the exact daily program on site at short notice in order to be able to deal with the respective weather and light conditions. To make sure you can capture shots at the right time with the right light in the golden and blue hours, we will be outside especially during the sunrise and sunset times. In between, during lunch or in the afternoon, you will have free time to take a rest, explore the surroundings or take part in photo discussions and tutorials. If fantastic weather and lighting conditions arises, we can also add another photo session in the afternoon.

Half double room

Single travellers can book half a double room. If there is no other guest who wants to share the room, the single room supplement will apply.

It is strongly recommended to have a cancellation insurance and return travel insurance, which covers evacuation, local hospitalisation and return travel costs to Switzerland in the event of an emergency.
