The picturesque landscapes of Tuscany are a paradise for photography. Join us in the marvellous Val d’Orcia in Tuscany. With over 20 years of experience in the region, we know the local weather conditions inside out and know which photo location works best in which weather. The Val d’Orcia is like a second home to us and we know the area inside out.
We will spend 4 nights in a small, charming hotel in Pienza in Val d’Orcia. The picturesque Val d’Orcia stands out as having one of the most beautiful sceneries in the whole of Tuscany. The region offers an unbelievably large range of fantastic opportunities for photography which includes typical landscapes with the classic green hills, farms with alleys of cypress trees, villas, chapels and small, untouched medieval towns. From a photography point of view, spring or autumn is the perfect time of the year. During the spring, the landscape is green and many flowers are in bloom. The mist often rises in the early morning which lends a sense of mysticism to the landscape. During the autumn, photographers are also treated to a range of beautiful spots that are perfect to photograph. The fields display beautiful golden-brown tones, the trees wear their autumn finery, beautiful banks of cloud roll by and there are often fantastic light conditions.
We will explore various aspects of photography in a relaxed atmosphere and spend a lot of time photographing the countless motifs that the region has to offer. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced photographers. Thanks to the small group size, we can cater to individual needs.
We will of course photograph in the best light during the Tuscany photo tour. This means that we will be on the move early in the morning and during the late afternoon. In between we will have time for critique sessions, tutorials and, of course, for a typical Italian siesta!

In spring, everything is lush green and the first flowers are in bloom. There is also a good chance of fog in the valleys in spring. The region comes to life and the tourists slowly return in large numbers.

Autumn arrives much later in Tuscany than it does here in Switzerland. In our experience, the best time to travel is November. This is the time when the chances are particularly high for mystical foggy atmospheres. The landscape is characterised by golden brown and green colours. The days are short and the sunrise and sunset take place at pleasant times. There are also few tourists on the road at this time of year.

On our photo trip to Tuscany, we were able to photograph numerous subjects with great light. We were always there at the right time and were able to take fantastic pictures. Everything was perfectly organized and we stayed in a pleasant hotel right in Pienza. Our photo guide Peter Fischer gave us helpful tips and supported us with any questions we had. Jennifer's photography course in Tuscany was a real highlight! Her enthusiasm and attention to detail made the workshop a unique experience. Every minute was perfectly planned - from the time spent photographing to relaxing moments in authentic Tuscan restaurants. Jennifer creates an atmosphere in which you can not only develop creatively, but also feel really comfortable.
