Day 1: Arrival in Tenerife

Individual journey to Tenerife. We will meet at Tenerife South Airport at 11 a.m. at the latest. We will then travel by comfortable minibus to Santa Cruz in the north of the island.

Depending on the weather conditions, a first photo shoot will take place outside in nature today.

Day 2 and 3: Santa Cruz surroundings

From Santa Cruz, you will explore the north-east of Tenerife. The Anaga mountain massif is characterised by rugged cliffs and deep gorges that follow one another in close succession. They are all covered by the green mantle of the laurel forest. Here and there, enchanting little villages punctuate the green landscape.

There is also a beautiful beach in this region, which gives you a feeling of solitude and tranquillity. The overwhelming beauty that surrounds the beach is simply perfect for capturing beautiful landscape shots.

Day 4: Onward journey to Vilaflor

In the morning, you will once again take photos in the region around Santa Cruz. Later, drive to the south of the island to Vilaflor, which lies at over 1500 metres above sea level.

In the centre of the island of Tenerife, the Teide National Park is like a huge amphitheatre with a diameter of 15 kilometres. It is the result of countless volcanic eruptions. Surprisingly, this barren and rugged landscape at an altitude of more than 2,000 metres is full of plant and animal life. Numerous viewpoints in the national park offer breathtaking views of the island’s nature.

Day 5 to 6: Travelling in the El Teide region

Over the next few days, we will again mainly take photos during the marginal hours with the beautiful light of sunrise and sunset. If the sky is clear, you will also capture fantastic photos of the night sky with the Milky Way. The region around the imposing El Teide is the perfect place for this, as light pollution is very low here and the Milky Way is visible in all its splendour.

After breakfast, you will have some free time to relax or explore the surrounding area. Our beautifully situated wellness hotel in the middle of nature is the perfect place to recharge your batteries after the photo sessions.

Of course, we set off again in good time to take photos. A late lunch or early dinner will take place before, between or after the photo session, depending on the light and weather conditions.

Day 7: End of the photo tour

The Tenerife photo workshop ends today. After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you will be driven to the airport for your individual journey home or onwards.

Photo workshop program

We will put together the exact daily program on site at short notice in order to be able to deal with the respective weather and light conditions. In order to capture images at the right time and with the best light during the golden and blue hour, we will be out and about especially during the times of sunrise and sunset. In between, there will always be free time to relax a little, explore the surroundings or, if you wish, take part in image discussions and tutorials. If fantastic weather and light conditions present themselves, we can also include additional photo sessions.

Participants

On this trip you will be travelling with like-minded people who love nature and photography and want to deepen their own photography skills.

Fitness level

You have a good basic level of fitness to be able to take part in moderate hikes to the photo locations. The paths on the island can be somewhat uneven, rocky or boggy in places.

Clothing

This photo trip is outdoor orientated and we will spend a lot of time outdoors in nature. We recommend that you bring robust and well-worn hiking boots as well as appropriate outdoor clothing in layers and rainwear.

Half double room

Single travellers can book half of a double room. If there is no other guest who wants to share the room, the single room surcharge will apply.

Insurance

We strongly advise you to purchase insurance for cancellation and return journey costs, which will be needed in the event of a secluded region being evacuated, a local hospital stay or return travel costs to your home country.
