Discover fascinating landscapes and enchanting wildlife. Travelling to exotic regions, getting to know new cultures and, above all, taking breathtaking photos.
To ensure that we can continue to visit captivating destinations, Amazing Views is actively committed to the environment. We closely monitor the societal, environmental and social impacts of travel. We want to increase the positive effects that our photo tours bring, and reduce the negative ones. Protecting our natural resources and sustainable tourism products is part of the Amazing Views culture.
For this reason, we offset the CO2 emissions caused by our trips. For every tonne of CO2 distributed, we invest in South Pole social and climate projects to offset the distributed emissions from our trip. We carefully select the projects in cooperation with South Pole. We are convinced that taking social and environmental aspects into account not only benefits the countries in the projects, but also makes your trip more valuable.
To keep the booking process enjoyable for them, offsetting is already included in the price for each tour.
About South Pole
South Pole is a Swiss non-profit organisation and one of the world’s leading providers of voluntary carbon offsets. Since its foundation, South Pole has contributed to saving over 170 million tonnes of CO2 and has developed over 700 emission reduction projects in various sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy or households.
With carbon offsetting, companies buy certificates from a project that saves CO2 and thus supports climate protection. Each tonne of greenhouse gases reduced equals one CO2 certificate, which is also called a “carbon credit”.
Climate protection projects promote the use of renewable energies, implement energy efficiency measures or reduce methane emissions. This can be achieved through technological advances, the filtering of greenhouse gases from power plants and production facilities, but also through reforestation and appropriate measures in agriculture.
South Pole carbon offset projects reduce emissions by replacing fossil energy sources with renewable energy or promoting energy-efficient technologies. High-quality carbon offset projects also contribute to the social, environmental and economic development of the region in which they are located.
