Nicolas Alexander Otto

Alex is a passionate landscape photographer and experienced photo guide. He has been working with Amazing Views since 2022.

The graduate media scientist and musician was a passionate landscape photographer already during his university career. On countless excursions around the globe, he deepened his academic knowledge in countries such as the USA, Japan or South Africa. For many years, he has led photo tours and workshops for various agencies and held seminars on landscape photography, writes for various trade magazines and is host of the “Landscape Photography Podcast”.

Whether as a photography tutor for public agencies, as a public speaker at photo events or during his photography courses and workshops, he is always careful to take an analytical, theoretically solid approach to imparting his knowledge and perspectives. In doing so, he ensures that the different needs and creative challenges of his clients are considered on an individual level. In addition to a strong focus on technical perfection and the general craft and handling of the camera, he especially supports the creative vision of his clients, be it with assistance in composition, camera techniques or post-processing of the images.

When planning the workshops and trips, he emphasises an interesting mix of challenging subjects of all kinds, so that participants always come home with a good mix of different image content on their memory cards. He sees it as his vocation to do everything he can to provide clients with the best light and the most beautiful photos and to share his passion for the landscape with others in this way.
